The Bads will be part of the very eclectic and exciting line up at Grassroots Festival this year. http://www.grassrootsfestival.co.nz/
We won’t now be touring in Feb, sadly, we have had to cancel due to serious family illness. BUT we are working on new material over the next few weeks and will studio bound soon so we can take these songs out for a spin at Grassroots Fest and more shows later on in the year - can’t wait!!
You may think The Bads have been mighty quiet over 2010… well Brett has been pretty busy playing shows and recording with Tim Finn.. and more (of course!)..and Dianne has been touring playing guitar and singing with lovely Flip Grater…..BUT! there has been behind the scenes writing action going on and we are preparing for recording action in 2011. AND! take a little lookey a the touring page on this here bads.com site… and you will see that we are touring NZ in Feb… This is good.
Another great support slot we are very happy to say - haven’t had too many opportunities to play live lately - but another duo acoustic support slot on the way The Bads to support The Swell Season on Tuesday 23 March at the Aotea Centre.xxxxxxxxxxxx yes! see you there.
Mexico’s breathtaking acoustic guitar duo, ‘Rodrigo y Gabriela’ will perform for New Zealand fans for the first time in January 2010..
One of the great word of mouth success stories of recent times, Rodrigo y Gabriela have taken the mainstream media and music lovers the world over by storm as they showcase their blistering original songs and famous cover versions in their live set on Spanish guitars.
The pair is heading to Auckland to support their new studio album, entitled ‘11:11’ released in September on Rubyworks (through Shock in NZ).
ooh well I think we had better brush up a little ….see you there —— make sure you hoop and holler!
